The kitchen, unlike any other room in the house, showed signs of struggle. One of the dinette chairs had been overturned, and broken dishes littered the floor. Two slices of blackened bread stood in the toaster, and blood spattered a door and two drawer fronts of the white glossy cabinets. Two bloody hand prints on the refrigerator and two upper cabinets, while there was blood all over the terracotta tiles on the floor.
