What is the "Story of Pacquette" as told in the novel, The Hunchback of Notre Dame?

The story of Pacquette, La Esmeralda's mother, is told in flashback. Pacquette's mother was forced to raise her in poverty, and when her mother dies, Pacquette becomes pregnant and gives birth to a beautiful girl whom she names Agnes. Later, her child is stolen by the gypsies, and although Pacquette does not know it, they name her La Esmeralda.
