How does Esperanza solve the main conflict?

The main conflict for Esperanza is that she perceives the home she lives in as somehow less than everyone else. Once she begins to see that poverty is just as much a state of mind as money, she begins to change her perspective on what 'home' means as well as 'freedom'.
