Fredegunda was one of Chilperic's wives. She was married to her husband by force, and their relationship was volatile. Life was good while she was in his favor and difficult when she wasn't. Although her husband conquered her father, Fredegunda made the bast of her marrige. The couple had children, and she later went onto found a monastery.
