What is the author's style in The History of the Church from Christ to Constantine by Eusebius?

Eusebius' use of prose has a dramatic force. He often references poetry and Scripture; reprints texts of first-person accounts of martyrdom and persecutions; and speaks with florid language about the beastliness of heretics, the tyranny of Roman Emperors and the great glory of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
