Regillen Maycraft is the Chief Inspector of the Cheapside Peelers. He is tall and stocky, with a stiff salt-and-pepper moustache and thinning hair. He shares an office with Detective Carver, and the two are assigned to catch the serial killer known as Stitch-face. Maycraft, however, is secretly an important player in a group known as the Fraternity, and he knows that some of the murders attributed to Stitch-face were actually orchestrated by the Fraternity.
