Who is Hailey from The Hate You Give?

Hailey is one of Starr's friends from Williamson Prep. Over the course of the novel, it becomes clear that Hailey is racist and not a true friend. The first indication of this is when Starr notes that Hailey stopped following her Tumblr blog after Starr posted a photograph of Emmett Till. Hailey later makes a joke about Starr liking fried chicken, and then defends Officer Cruise after seeing the news report about the shooting at Maya's house. This is ultimately the last straw for Starr, who fails to respond to Hailey's overtures at making up at the end of the novel, deleting her number instead.
