Who is Mani in The Guide by R. K. Narayan?

Mani works as an assistant to Rahu. His job is to take care of the little things that Rahu doesn't have time for or simply doesn't want to be bothered with. His testimony at Rahu's trial is a main reason that Rahu is convicted for forgery.
