Why does Dawsey begin writing to Juliet in the novel, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society?

Dawsey begins writing to Juliet because he fell in love with a book by Charles Lamb and is hoping to find more books by him. In his copy of the book by Charles Lamb, Juliet had written her name and address because it used to belong to her.
