Author, Robert Graves, wrote for money, not for the art form. Grave was born in 1895. His father was Scotch-Irish father, and he worked as a school inspector. He was also a talented composer and collector. Robert's mother was German. He was nineteen-years-old at the outbreak of the war when he enlisted.
