As the title suggests, crime is the main theme of the story. The entire novel is based on the story of one of the most notorious train robberies in England. Although little is known about the actual participants in the original robbery, the author has taken what little is known and created a fictional tale about the robbery. Pierce, a mysterious gentleman who is clearly wealthy, plans and executes the perfect train robbery. To do this, Pierce must commit multiple crimes along with his team.
