Marika is Kata's daughter. She seems to be a very smart an inquisitive child. She is taken to a concentration camp with Kata. After the war, she ends up in France. As the novel ends, she makes her way back to Mesto and is able to see the Landauer House again. She reunites with Ottilie at the end of the novel.
