The bracelets Clemantine makes as a teenager symbolize meaning. By stringing the random beads and buttons she has collected into bracelets, Clemantine is able to channel her confused emotional interior into tangible objects. She both feels that the bracelets help her release destructive parts of her interior, and that giving them away allows her to comfort others in pain.
