Laila is a dancer and baker of Indian descent who frequently poses as the hot tempered and promiscuous socialite L’Enigme. However, this persona is entirely an act, and it is revealed early on that all of Laila’s lovers have been men who had no interest in sleeping with her and were instead used for mutually beneficial gain. The only man Laila has ever slept with is Séverin, something she claims she does not want again while simultaneously being in love with him. Like Séverin, Laila is close to everyone else in the group, and even sees them as her family.
