Who is Grandpa from The Game and what is their importance?

Hayley's grandfather is not as strict as her grandmother. He is a kind old man, who busies himself with world affairs and disappears from time to time for extended periods. Hayley's grandmother says he is visiting "his other family." Hayley later discovers that he is Atlas, and that he is destined to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders. In Greek mythology, Atlas marries Hespera (Hayley's grandmother) and they have five daughters (some of the aunts in the Ireland homestead).
