Who is Bruno Lensen from The Forgotten Soldier and what is their importance?

Bruno Lensen play a large part in the autobiography and is a member of Sajer's unit. He is Prussian, courageous, and widely respected by his fellow soldiers. Awarded the Iron Cross, Lensen is later killed when he is ground to pieces under the treads of another Russian tank that overruns his position. Sajer is a witness to his death.
