In the Fledgling, Mr. Preek, who doesn't see very well to begin with, shoots the Goose Prince. He does it at first because he thinks that the Goose Prince is attacking Georgie, then later, he wants to shoot the Goose Prince because the GP attacks him as he attempts to shoot Georgie from the sky.
