The Financial Lives of the Poets is written in first-person narrative form from Matt's point of view. Majority of the text is Matt narrating what is going on around him, providing insights and information on the characters. Matt is not an omniscient narrator, so any information conveyed by Matt about other characters is only his opinion and does not represent fact.
