What does Uche's mother do after he dies?

After Uche's death, his mother covers his broken body with a blanket, except for his face, because he is afraid of the dark. She imagines how he died and tries to make sense of it. She then sits beside his body numb, paying no attention to the fact that the world is ending outside.
