What effect do labels have on the children?

The labels ‘Child A’ and ‘Child B’ symbolize the way in which Caleb and Camille’s work often stripped Annie and Buster of autonomy and identity. Camille and Caleb always referred to Annie and Buster as ‘Child A’ and ‘Child B’ when discussing or writing about the Fang family performance art pieces.
