There is a definite connection between the fictional and the real in the Fall of the House of Usher. Madeline is entombed underground and Roderick painted an underground tomb. The house begins to fall as Roderick sings about it. He even says that he will die from fear and that is how he dies. While the possibilities are endless it is possible that Roderick is able to not only see the future but he can predict it too. There is also the possibility that he has the ability to cause these things to happen. In which case there is more going on than meets the eye.
