The Exhibit demonstrates Mueller's use of Germanic style in that its language is simple, yet powerful. There is no obvious rhyme and little alliteration. The poem is essentially a series of six complete sentences, the first four being rather brief, taking up only eight full lines, and the last two seeming more "poetic," spanning the remainder of the 20-line poem.
