Who is Kuda from The Ear, the Eye and the Arm and what is their importance?

Kuda is the youngest of the Matsika children. He is the most easily frightened of the children, and almost always obeys the commands of his older siblings. Kuda is quite useful in the children's escape from She-Elephant because he can understand the Trashman's babbling.
