What news about gestapo activities did the inmates of the hideout receive from the outside world?

For the most part, the family and others in the Annex receive information about the Gestapo via Dr. Dussel (pfeffer) who gives them information about many of the families that they've known. They also hear a limited amount about it on the armed forces radio. Most of the helpers (Miep, Bep, and Kraler) don't tell them too much because they fear that it will depress or alarm them.
