As far as problems that teens have that compare, there is a part in the diary where Anne talks about how they have been forced to grow up faster and are experiencing things that their parents never had to face. She also is upset by the fact that the war was started by the adults but it is, in fact, the young that suffer the most from such wars. Lastly, you could talk about how Anne has problems with identifying with her mother, as her mother is very traditional and Anne wants to be more modern and less traditional.
