Uncle Jimmy is Alex's uncle. He is described as somewhat selfish, as shown in his request for Briana to travel with his family, so she can help his wife care for their young children. It is Jimmy, nonetheless, who saves the children by giving them food from his shop, showing he can also be kind and caring. He loves his nieces and nephews, but he also uses them to his advantage. When Uncle Jimmy leaves, his intent isn't to abandon his extended family, but rather to save his own immediate family.
