In Chapter 5, why is Ruby sent back to the infirmary?

When Ruby wakes up shaking, she rolls out of bed and hits her face against the next bunk over. The other girls in the cabin try to talk to her, but she does not respond. So one of the girls presses the emergency button, and Ruby is taken back to the infirmary.
