There is a lot of Biblical imagery that is connected to famous works of art. Da Vinci’s Last Supper, Madonna of the Rocks, and Mona Lisa are all paintings that link the Bible and art together. They also illustrate matriarchal worship. Blood imagery also stands out in this story. Sophie, for example, understands that her grandfather has left a message for her on the Mona Lisa because of a drop of his blood she sees on the floor.
