The point of view in the novel, The Duff, is that of first person, from the viewpoint of Bianca Piper. It is primarily through her narrative that the reader gets a glimpse into why she feels the way that she does and offers insight into her motives. The reader is also offered much of the backstory about Bianca's friends that otherwise would have been lost if told in a narrative third person, or omniscient viewpoint.
