Who is Mr. Fish from The Cupcake Queen and what is their importance?

Mr. Fish is Marcus's father. He works at the dairy in town. Mr. Fish's wife died in a kayaking accident. Afterward, Mr. Fish was grief stricken, which caused him to board up their beach house and move into town with his son, Marcus. Mr. Fish and Marcus start building metal planet sculptures in the woods as a tribute to Marcus's mom, who was amateur astrologist.
