Dantes concocts a plan. He substitutes himself for the dead priest¹s body in the body bag that the doctors provided. He brings a knife with him. He anticipates being buried, after which he will push up the soft earth, and obtain freedom.. In reality, he is tossed into the stormy sea surrounding the Chateau D'If.
