Griffin's style of writing is easy to read and to relate to. The novel is written for fast reading with very little to slow the reader down. Wherever there are military words or terms used, Griffin defines them either in the body of the novel or in a footnote. This is very helpful to the reader who is unfamiliar with these kinds of terms.
