Who is Karl Heinrich Marx from The Communist Manifesto and what is their importance?

Marx was a Prussian philosopher and the co-developer of Communist theory with Frederick Engels. He was also one of the authors of the Manifesto of the Communist Party; in latter editions, Engels credited Marx as the dominant contributor to that document.
