Who is Fuzzy Stone from The Cider House Rules and what is their importance?

Fuzzy Stone is one of the children at the orphanage. He has respiratory problems, so he sleeps in a special tent to help him with his breathing. Fuzzy dies while at the orphanage, but Dr. Larch tells the other children that he was adopted by a family. Years later, when the board members are trying to replace Dr. Larch, he makes up medical school credentials for Fuzzy Stone, so Homer Wells can use these credentials to replace him at the orphanage after Dr. Larch dies.
