What is the main setting in the novel, The Casual Vacancy?

The Casual Vacancy is set in a small town in West County, England, approximately 132 miles from London in modern times. Though the characters reside in the small parish of Pagford, Yarvil, the next small town over is also very much a part of the setting, as well as the downtrodden neighborhood that separates the two - the Fields. The characters that reside in Pagford resent Yarvil and the people who live there.
