In the classic tale The Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allan Poe, the antagonist is actually the main character, Montressor. He fancies himself an expert at many of the finer things in life, especially wine. When Fortunato, a wine connnoisseur himself, insults and/or corrects Montressor in public, Montressor sets about to kill Fortunato in a horrible fashion.
