Le Cap is a city on the north coast of Haiti. During colonial era, Le Cap functioned as the state capital of the French colony there. After the revolution, Le Cap became the center headquarters for Christophe’s Kingdom of Northern Haiti. At the beginning of The Black Jacobins, Le Cap is the site of numerous slave rebellions.
