Franklin writes his autobiography, of course, from a first person narrative. His views are 100% biased (and mostly accurate), which is something he warns about in the introduction. His biases stem from pride of himself and his accomplishments. He had seen a lot of improvement in his lifetime, most of which he contributed to. Franklin's perspectives do not seem influenced by his family; in fact, they seem to be in spite of them. While Ben's father was strict and religious, Benjamin was freethinking.
