Dyson's father is an unhappy, angry person, who inflicts his own disappointments onto his son. Throughout Dyson's childhood, his father verbally abuses and bullies him, criticizing his weight and appearance, which in turn, causes Dyson to feel negatively about his body and himself. Dyson's father makes Dyson's childhood home a stressful and toxic environment.
