Meg is Aiden's eleven-year-old sister. Her parents were falsely accused of helping terrorists, and after a long time on the run, she and Aiden are both caught. Over time, the FBI overturns the case against their parents, and they are released. Many people in the community, however, still believe they're guilty.

When Meg is kidnapped, she she utilizes the survival skills learned as a result of her fugitive status earlier that year. She suppresses her emotions, and instead gets to know her kidnappers. Meg realizes that at least one of them is sympathetic toward her, and she uses this to her advantage.
