Who is Tilly Coogan from Thanksgiving and what is their importance?

Tilly is Tim's mother. When she inexplicably leaves Tim in Megan and Patrick's care, they have no idea when or if she will return. While caring for Tilly's son, Patrick and Megan become very attached to him. They are saddened when Tilly returns and reclaims her son.
