Who is Frieda Dorsett from Sybil and what is their importance?

Frieda Dorsett is Willard's second wife. The two of them form a close relationship that they maintain for several years before being married. Willard isn't really interested in marrying again, but after Frieda moves in, he decides marriage is the only decent course of action. Frieda is described as nervous and needy, and previously jilted by her former boyfriend, she doesn't like other women in Willard's life. At first, Frieda is skeptica..... she doesn't understand Sybil at all and believes that she merely needs a good man. Frieda tries to counsel Willard to cut ties completely with Sybil prior to his trip to New York to meet with Dr. Wilbur.
