The author has a way with words that is very poetic. As the narrator the language is very descriptive when the author is trying to support a claim that he makes. This typically happens at the beginning of a chapter when he is trying to make a point. For example, when the author is trying to say that Thursday was a great day, he goes into great detail of the happenings of that day to support ht initial claim.
