Lloyd Slate is the Winter Knight. He deceitfully serves at the Winter Court, but in reality, he is a servant to Aurora. Slate is responsible for Reuel's murder. When his part in the murder is revealed, it is abundantly clear that the Winter Queen intends to make him suffer for a good, long time.
