-The first leg was the of trade was from Europe to Africa. The ships were laden with trade items such as copper, fabric, trinkets, guns and ammunition. These goods were then traded for slaves.
-The second leg, most commonly known as the Middle Passage transported the slaves to the Americas.
-During the third leg of the trade, in which the ships returned home, the cargo was far different, as the ships carried items in demand in Europe..... sugar, rum, and tobacco...... goods produced by the slaves they carried through the Middle Passage.
