Although Rollins does not use symbolism, per se, he does make special note of Aboriginal symbols. In chapter eight, Ashley and Ben discover a small symbol carved on the ceiling in front of the doorway of a cave. The symbol closely resembles a symbol used by his grandmother's Aboriginal tribe..... a symbol of the tribe's spirit people that lived in the rocks called the Mimi.
