Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Would the story have been more or less effective?

The story is seen mostly through the eyes of the lawyer, Utterson, and we do not learn the dual nature of Jekyll/Hyde until the last chapter. Would the story have been more or less effective if it were done, like the last chapter, as a first-person narrative by Jekyll/Hyde?

In my opinion, the story would not have been more effective if it was narrated only from Dr. Jekyll's perspective. As a part of the experiment, and as the person who consistently undergoes change, it would be impossible for Jekyll to provide the unbiased, objective truth of the events described by Utterson.
