How does the author use foreshadowing in Story from Bear Country?

In the poem's first stanzas, the various sounds the bears produce are not only audible but "they call you." In the same instance, the narrator goes onto claim that the power of the bear's beauty "will overcome your memory." These statements foreshadow a potential transformation, from man to bear, as it is slowly recounted in the first half of the poem.
