Thomas the Tinker is Luster's version of a repairman. He is a human who has the ability to fix most any object. He is an old friend of Cara's, having helped her on previous Carries a wagon that tends to make a lot of noise. He is able to quiet his wagon with magic, he can also fold it up so that it fits in his pocket. Thomas travels with Cara into Ebilan's territory. It is actually Thomas who creates the distraction in Ebilan's cave that allows Cara to take the gate back to earth. Thomas also gives Jacques and Lightfoot in amulet so that they can go to earth to check on Cara after she has left.
