Jacques is an older man who is a part of the Queen's Player. Cara meets him when her traveling party runs into the Player's in the woods. Jacques sings "The Song of the Wanderer" which is why Cara begins to talk to him. She soon learns that he was once married to her grandmother, Ivy Morris. While Jacques is unsure if they are blood related, he decides that Cara is his granddaughter regardless. He decides to travel with Cara and her friends to bring Ivy back to Luster. When Cara does return to earth, Jacques uses another amulet to go after her and make sure she is safe. Although he was trying to protect Cara, Jacques eventually gets his amulet stolen by a Hunter.
